About Us

Eddie Cornejo, PT, MPT, CFMT

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Pomona in 2000 and went on to receive my Master of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2003. In 2018, I was accepted into an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) credentialed clinical residency program with the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) to specialize in Functional Manual Therapy®. Over 15 months and 1,500 clinical practice hours, I refined my orthopedic diagnostic skills and advanced my expertise in manual therapy. In August 2020, I traveled to Steamboat Springs, CO, to undergo a week-long, intensive clinical and practical exam, achieving certification as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the IPA.

As an active individual, I understand the importance of helping my patients regain full functionality. My approach is holistic, considering the entire body rather than just the specific area of concern. I utilize my diagnostic skills to tailor treatments to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring a high level of care for everyone who walks through my door.

In 2021, my wife Melanie and I founded FIT Physio, a project born out of our shared passion. We first met in Physical Therapy school at APU in 2001, graduated together, and have been working side by side ever since. In 2015, Melanie transitioned from patient care to managing our business operations and raising our two wonderful daughters.

In our free time, we enjoy being with family, watching our daughters excel in sports and singing, and traveling. We particularly love outdoor activities that involve dirt or water, such as off-roading, camping, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and boating.

FIT Physio Mission Statement

At FIT Physio, we are committed to optimizing your quality of life by assisting you in the pursuit of a strong, mobile, and efficient body. You will be guided through a one on one program of Functional Manual Therapy®, a personalized exercise regimen, and evidence-based modalities that maximize the healing process.

Why should I go to FIT Physio when I can go to an in-network provider and pay less out of pocket?

The FIT Physio approach can produce optimal results in less time than traditional physical therapy.

Your FIT Physiotherapist has the advanced training and clinical experience to discover the Root Cause of your dysfunction so your time is not wasted on a treatment plan based on the process of elimination.

We combine hands-on Functional Manual Therapy and a one-on-one personalized exercise program that will get you better faster. FIT Physio incorporates cutting-edge, evidence-based modalities to expedite the healing process (click to get information on Class IV laser and PEMF).

Will my insurance cover any of the expense?

More often than not the answer is YES, although it is dependent on your particular insurance plan. As a complimentary service, FIT Physio will contact your insurance provider and discuss, in detail, your benefits with you and how your plan will benefit you under our care allowing you to focus on the more important (and less confusing) things in life.
